Global Youth Sustainability Challenge (GYSC)

A global competition encouraging the youth to share their perspective, and apply their unique talents to Earth's most pressing challenges.
 

This year's theme: Unbounded Consumption.

What are the challenges associated with unbounded human consumption? 

 

Provide a written narrative that describes your experience with unbounded human consumption, as well as a proposal for how you can contribute your unique talents or perspectives to solving this problem.

 

WORD LIMIT: 600 words

Additional supplemental visuals, videos, etc. will be considered. Students must provide a link that is viewable by public. We will not consider any links that cannot be opened by the competition judges.

PRIZES

1. Grand Prize - 3 winners will receive the grand prize of $100 each.

2. Competition Winners - First, Second, and Third place winners will receive a prize of $50 each.

3. Up to 100 winners that meet an exemplary writing standard will be published in our "Voices of the Youth" book.

ELIGIBILITY

All students age 9-25 enrolled in highschool or college are welcome to apply to the competition. There are no limitations on the region of submission for the application, except that all submission materials must be translated to English.
